Key duties will be:
  • Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems for construction projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the development of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including equipment selection and sizing.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
  • Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and work collaboratively with design and project teams.
  • Evaluate and select materials and equipment for mechanical systems, considering project budgets and specifications.
  • Perform energy and sustainability assessments to optimize mechanical system efficiency.
  • Conduct on-site visits to verify installation and address any issues that may arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.

Primary purpose of job
Ensure high level of plant equipment reliability by carrying out regular study of problems/difficulties and failures of the

systems/equipment’s and produces recommendations for improvement to prevent such problems. Carries out analysis to

determine reliability of components, equipment and systems. Collects date and analysis the data, prepares reports to

define reliability problems and recommends improvements. Conducts an analysis of equipment reliability problems

investigates to determine the reliability required for particular situation considering the limitations, equipment up/down time,

repair/replacement costs, weight, size and availability or materials/equipment.

Assists the Head of Technical Support Division in conducting required studies to develop the Department strategies,

policies, budget, short term and long term programs. Provides engineering guidance and manages

into the complex within Operations Engineering and Operations Groups.

Experience & Skills

Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in designing, sizing, erection, installation commissioning and maintenance of plant

equipment in oil/petrochemical industries out of which at least four (4) years’ experience in field of design and maintenance.

Appropriate computer literary and knowledge of using computer features to solve support different technical analysis problems.

Fully conversant with failure analysis and failure mode (FMEA)
